The Iconic Archives, kicked off today by the VIP opening reception and the press preview.
The Art Basel installation by Artsy Productions USA is part of the Art of Fashion Show, and brings a unique costume exhibition, presenting fashion as an art discipline.
The show is curated by Luis Valenzuela, and displays the designs of the most world renowned fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Pucci, Nina Ricci and Christian Dior.
As Luis shared with me, his vision was to use the gowns and accessories to offer viewers a peek into the styles of several iconic historical figures as Celia Cruz, Elizabeth Taylor, Greta Garbo, Frida Kahlo, and Marie Antoinette.
The artist, known as the pioneer of the green art and as the ‘eco avant-garde fashion designer’ previously featured his work (bellow left) in Vogue Italia, Elle magazine, New York Fashion Week, and exhibited his exceptional pieces in the most prominent art institutions.

The exhibition is opened to public and stays on view through December 7th in the Adrienne Arsht Center of Performing Arts. If you are an exquisite style connoisseur, or a fashion lover, this is your ‘must see’ show during the Art Basel.
