Peter Copping presented novel approach to ultra feminine brand, this time by 18th century masculine style inspiration. Tailcoats and tuxedo cut tops were layered over romantic mini-numbers in lace and silk with ruffles, pleads and rich embroideries, in mostly white color collection, with only few pieces in blue and florals. Sheer white curtain appearing out of nowhere travelled the runway from the back to front, side by side with the first model as she walked down the catwalk and set the mood for fresh and light Spring feel of the line.
Unexpectedly, the feminist activists attempted to take over the show. Two protesting girls ran from the last rows down the catwalk, displaying their naked chest with protest messages to photographers.
Seconds later, protest act was rapidly neutralized by the security, as models continued the walk without any sign of disturbance.
Anna Wintour and her team applauded to Copping’s innovation and professionalism of the models. Without a doubt, Nina Ricci Spring 2014 runway show will be talked about for many years.
