R.I.P. Oscar de la Renta…

One of the biggest fashion legend died this week.  Dominican Republic born and raised Oscar de la Renta, was the first latin designer who rapidly became a superstar among exclusive french designer pack in Paris and shortly after in the United States, from the onset of his career. His work with the best in the business since early formative years (de la Renta trained in house of Balenciaga and Lanvin in Paris) had strong influence on his creative signature entire life.  Oscar de la Renta will be always known as a master of glamorous (red carpet) look, and an impeccable dream-gown.

During designer’s latest stage of battle with cancer he was determined to identify successor who will carry the torch of his fashion empire and tradition built over many years.  Shortly after his death the name was announced. Peter Copping, who recently left Nina Ricci is appointed as a new creative director of iconic brand Oscar de la Renta.
The fashion legend, touched many lives and made an impact also with his words of wisdom about fashion, style, women and what it really all meant.  As we honor his life and work, here are some of his quotes that tell his story of creative inspiration, that will remain forever remembered….R.I.P.
